Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away - Sapphire Stars clue 3

Welcome to the link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!
Where we share what we're doing on a BOM-type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom.)

Hi! I've got this programmed to post itself, as I'm enjoying a little vacation in western North Carolina with our 23yo.  :D

Before I left, I whipped together the Clue 3 work for Kevin's Sapphire Star mystery.

48 of these star-point blocks - nice and big! And fun to line up into diamonds. . .

Even though I couldn't pull near as much variety as Kevin got for his set, I'm really digging how the whole set turned out.

And the 24/24 strips from the light and bright blues:

Who knows what Kevin was wickedly chortling about, but I'm interested to see how we use these!

~*~*~

What's happening on your end? Have you done any BOM work recently?

Kate over at Katie Mae Quilts has joined me in hosting this meet-up,
and linking up from either end puts you on the party at both sides.

  1. Your quilt is going to be so pretty in the blues. I wonder too what Kevin has up his sleeves. I'm not making his mystery quilt now, I have enough going on, but I'm saving the downloads. If I do make it someday, I'll make mine in blues too. Happy stitching this week!

  2. Oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh.........I love how you have your units laid out! That could be a quilt design all it's own! I find I do that a lot myself and come up with interesting patterns and ideas.......and perfect ways to use up scraps! Thanks for playing along!
